Serra de Montsant Natural Park

Declared in 2002, Serra de Montsant Natural Park is located in the Priorat region, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia. The park is characterised by its dramatic relief of cliffs, ravines and gorges, as well as its rich natural and cultural heritage linked to the mountain’s long-standing spiritual tradition. Historically a place of retreat, it is home to numerous hermitages and the first Carthusian monastery in the Iberian Peninsula, Scala Dei.
