Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park

Declared in 1999, the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park stretches across the provinces of Málaga and Granada in southern Spain, covering 40,657 hectares. The park is characterised by its rugged terrain, with peaks rising above 2,000 metres — including La Maroma, the highest summit — and deep gorges such as the Río Verde canyon. Its geological and biological diversity makes it a landscape of significant ecological and scenic value.
