Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park

Located in the Aragonese Pyrenees, Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park is one of Spain’s most iconic natural areas. Declared a National Park in 1918 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, it covers 15,696 hectares, with an additional protected buffer zone of 19,196 hectares. Its landscape is dominated by the Monte Perdido massif (3,355 m), including the peaks known as Las Tres Sorores, from which the valleys of Ordesa, Pineta, Añisclo and Escuaín extend. Ranging from 700 to over 3,000 metres in altitude, the park showcases some of the most spectacular high-mountain scenery in the Pyrenees.
