Mallos de Riglos, Agüero and Peña Rueba Natural Monument

Declared in 2016, the Mallos de Riglos, Agüero and Peña Rueba Natural Monument is one of Aragón’s most iconic natural landmarks. Located in the Pre-Pyrenees of Huesca, this protected area is characterised by its spectacular vertical conglomerate rock formations, known as “mallos”, which rise up to 300 metres high. Shaped by millions of years of erosion, these striking towers create a unique landscape and stand out as one of northern Spain’s most dramatic geological settings.
